SQL Backup MSDE Problem

Boah...nach allen den Jahren SQL Server Management es ist mir seit paar Tagen nicht gelungen, den alten MSDE in SQL Express 2005 zum laufen zu bringen. Irgendwannmal nach 1000 Versuch war es endlich so weit! Jetzt habe ich den olen MSDE 2000 in meinem SQL 2005 m laufen. Ich bin damit nach unten kompatible :-)

Meine Freude war zu groß. Nachdem ich innerhalb von halber Stunde, meine neue Blog DB angelegt habe, war es nicht möglich einen backup zu machen. Bei der Instalation von MSDE hat sich eine kleine Zeile vergessen, sich ins Registry reinzufressen.

Uhm...was nun? Blos nicht aufgeben!
Nach kurzer Recherche im Internet habe ich mich an die SQL Registry gewagt. Und hier...ganz einfach:

1) öffne den regit
2) gehe zu: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSSQLServer\MSSQLServer]
Es sieht dann so aus:

Dann einfach Rechtsklick auf MSSQL/NEU/zeichenfolge und folgendes Pfad zum Backup eingeben:

BackupDirectory"="E:\\SQL Server\\MSSQL\\Backup

YES! Das wars!
Backupen geht jetzt und ich kann wieder seelenglücklich schlafen...und von meinem neuen Projekten träumen :-)

Still hot summer at the east coast

We still have hot summer at the German East coast. Call friend of mine Gunar, if you would like to have wakeboarding session +49 179 20 56 021 at Timmendorfer Strand.

I spend my weekend with friends & kids chilling at the beach and funny wakeboarding session at the boat on saturday. Our driver had a little bit dangerous jump, he hits his feet and could not get on the boat yesterday. So we arranged a barbecue at our favourite place "Brodtener Ufer".

The water is getting colder, so we wear our wetsuites. They are also huge fire jellyfish (dangerous red ones) in the water. The contact with them is pretty painful. I admired the kids becouse they also jumped in the sea with huge passion for wakeboarding and no fear.

We had a 2 amazing surfer-boys at the boat with surfboards (for riding waves). They just lie down at the board holding the line with one hand while fixing the balance of the board with other hand. Dont ask me how they manage to take off then. I didnt manage that either.

Since we dont have many surf swells here, we need to be creative. You see on the pic surfer ripping the wave made by boat. This is perfect practise for every surfer, when they are no waves. We used to practise this at Sky Lift too.

Confidence as a strategy

Sept 7 2006, we watched the Musical "Chicago" at Broadway Theater with my new team. Usher was starring and he was suprisingly confident, smart and the best perfoming guy on the stage.

His dances like a bird. His dancing reminds me on Michael Jackson. I really believe that Usher is one of the most confindent artists in the world. He looked confident becouse of his professional and easygoing art. When he dance it looks like he done that for years. He achieved his confidence with routine. When he sings is looks like he is breathing new energy. Thats the secret about Usher. I saw him in a concert in 2005 in Hamburg and he had the same aura of confidence. Nothing changed, except of his songs and costumes. He is still the same.

Usher is also not the best looking guy.

Thats pretty interesting about him.

He is not supermodel.

If you look at him, you see him as a complex of movements and songs. He also gives you wonderful smiles and foxy glance of his eyes. They are so real and natural, you could think he is doing this only for you. So in this case, confidence also means opposite of arrogance.

Hey, I am really impressed. Using gmail for 2 years, this is a nice innovation.

Yes, it is possible to talk for free over google gmail now.
The Free Call does not works with other Email clients.
The sound is great, better then by skype.
HEY --- it is for FREE!!!

I have some friends, they use Skype and did not manage to get HeadSet yet.
So maybe google should send HeadSet to everybody, who download Google Talk :-)// (Schräger Witz)

I wear my funny HeadSet during the work :-) too.
The best of the best is --- I dont write any emails more... I google talk :-).

Google kicked Belgian "Le Soir" from its index

Following up on a court order, Google kicked Belgian “Le Soir” from its index in Belgium (not just from Google News, but web search and image search too). While Google.com shows around 50,000 pages for LeSoir.be, Google.be shows 0.

Guess Game

We played this game in one great French Restaurant in New York Soho with Mike.
It is real fun, if you like to interact with people.

Find two people who are together in a restaurant or bar.

It can be 2 men, 2 women, or 1 man and 1 woman.

Try to figure out their “story”.

Who are they and how do they know each other?

What is their jobs? How long have they known each other for?
How often do they see each other?
You try to guess based on their body language, their clothes, what they are eating or drinking, and how close they sit to each other.

Also important is if one person is “leaning in” more than the other person, or if one person is sitting back. The person who is sitting back ususally has some sort of power over the person leaning in.

Then, go up and ask the two people what their “story” is, and see you good your guess is.

New Challenge

After 3 Interviews, I started to work for ERA Europe as a Web Developer on 1st of September. What a nice timing, I got the chance to attend to Real Estate Training at Realogy in New Jersey, then spend a amazing weekend in New York and then, visited our Team in Orlando.

It was a big fun, to meet all this people. We watched the Musical "Chicago" at Broadway Theater. Usher was starring and he was suprisingly confident, smart and the best perfoming guy on the stage.

I spend a wonderful weekend in NYC with nice company. We went to beautiful french restaurant in New York Soho with Michael, our czech lead. I also visited BB King Club what was also big fun. My favourity place in NYC is Central Park.

At ERA Europe, I am going to help out with european business. Our team is based in Orlando, so it is challenging to work on long distance. Skype and Messenger is a great help :-)

Orlando is amazing nice, warm and relaxing. I was pretty overloaded with al those new informations and new business.

I hope to get back soon and watch the lizards on the streets. I only saw one :-)

My old Job

Well, I have pretty hard time behind me. It feels like a divorce to quit a job after 4 years.

All this question "why do you quit". Are you sure? Uhm..

My last day was on 31 of August 2006 and on 1st of September, I started to work for ERA Europe as a Web developer.

I grow up at 3B in ColdFusion Development, Search Engine Ranking and Management of international online business.

I would say the greates fun was working for Innovation Department at 3B Scientific since April 2002 till 31 of August 2006. 3B run/debug/develop Online Shop for educational products in 7 languages(incl.japanese & chinese), 7 independend country domains (usa, france, germany, spain(andorra, portugal) , hungary, germany (swiss, austria), USA (mexico) and for rest of the World. One Night in Dublin

Just imagine you have only 30 minutes for shopping in a new exciting city and only one night to spend some time exploring night life. leaving next day at 10:50. Would you sleep even you had a the best hotel in the city? I couldn't. At night, all the nice bars invites you to drink Quinnes - mothers milk, as Irish says.

I learned interesting thing about Irish mans. The conversations are peppered with strong sence of pretty dry humor and seems to be kind of raw. So I tryed this strategy immediately using "fack off" on some attempt of drunked irish mans trying to start street conversation. It worked out pretty fast... Those guys started to sharpen their ears and talk just a little bit too much. I really felt like I was an irish girl. Unfortunately, I could barely understand what they were talking about. I was pretty happy to be surrounded with my two nice companions and I really needed to feel protected. The night life seems to be active and crazy as in Prag.

The party temper of all those partying people doesn't let you go. The worst thing can happen to you...they close fullest partys at 3:00 am. I just started to have a fun and it was almost over. Then, some folks move to other locations where the party time is longer.

I prefered to stay at the hotel bar talking to some drunk fun footbal players from Belfast feeling kind of united due the fact that either Slovakia nor Irish made them qualified for championship.
